We were tasked with reimagining their entire digital presence — from product discovery and filtering to checkout flow and post-purchase engagement.
Bivouac's existing e-commerce platform was built on aging technology that struggled with performance, mobile responsiveness, and modern user expectations. Product search was slow, the checkout process had high abandonment rates, and the mobile experience was an afterthought. The challenge was to migrate thousands of products and customer data to a new platform without disrupting their business operations during peak season.
We adopted a headless commerce architecture using Mage-OS as the backend with a custom React frontend. This approach gave us complete control over the user experience while leveraging the robust e-commerce capabilities of the Mage-OS ecosystem. We implemented advanced search with faceted filtering, lazy-loaded product grids, and a streamlined three-step checkout that reduced cart abandonment by 35%.
